The Local Government function of Finance department is financial management and accountability. The 5 sections of Administration of Finanace department, Revenue mobilisation, Budgeting, Expenditure and Accounts operate to achieve outputs listed below: financial management sevices, revenue management and collection services, budgeting and planning services, expenditure management services and accounting services. Other outputs of general nature include: Buildings and other structures, vehicles and other transport equipment, Office and IT equipment, specialist machinery equipment and furniture and fittings.
The objectives of the department include:
� Identify and expand the revenue base:
� Build Finance and Management Capacity at district level; and
� Strengthen Data Management systems, Revenue VRS and to influence demographic trends & patterns in a desirable direction.
