The District Chairperson has called upon the District Councilors to own the District Physical Development Plan 2021-2040 to guide urban development and planning.The call comes at a time when the District Physical DevelopmentPlan is at its final stages of recommendation by the District Council to the Nation Physical Planning Board for approval.While giving his closing remarks today during the dissemination of the Physical Development Plan to the district Councilors,the District Chairperson informed the Honiurable members that the plan is inline to the actual on ground and not disorting the already existing development but rather direct to the next step.He then also tasked them to ensure that they sensitise the communities inorder to keep them informed about the activity.He also appreciated the team from Ministry of Lands,Housing and Urban Development(MOLHUD) for the engagement conducted in enhancing their understanding about the plan.He also thanked the PS MOLHUD for considering Budaka as one of the districts to benefit from the initiative among other Districts.RDC also thanked the team for the great workdone in  engaging the District Councilors since they needed to be equipped with information pertaining the plan.He also prayed that all the plans laid by the Ministry for the district all come to pass by 2040.The Honourable councilors appreciated the team from the Ministry and raised a number of issues pertaining their emoluments,need for piped water to be extended to town councils,all these were addressed among others.The above developments are inline with Section 3 of the Physical Planning Act which declares the entire country as a planning area henceforth all developments in Uganda under country.
