Beneficiaries warned against selling off their inputs.

The District Chairperson Budaka, Mr. Pajje Emmanuel has cautioned beneficiaries against trading off their animals upon receipt from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).He also encouraged the extension staff to always support the farmers manage the animals for sustainability.This was witnessed during the distribution of cows and goats to 37 beneficiaries from Lyama Town Council and Nansanga subcounty under the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) from the District Headquarters.This project is targeted at restoring wetlands and increasing household incomes of the people.According to Mr. Kijali Kamwada, the District Natural Resource Officer, he informed members that the project is targeted at restoring wetlands and increasing household incomes of the people.He added that the beneficiaries who have received the livelihoods are to serve as models to others as they pick on other enterprises rather than rice production.He encouraged the beneficiaries not to sell the animals they have received but instead keep them in order to improve on their livelihoods.Speaking to the beneficiaries, the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Akiror Jane asked the beneficiaries to desist from selling the animals but rather feed them well for good yields.The project Manager then promised more funding in order to support additional people in Lyama and Nansanga respectively.While making her remarks, Hajjat Nusula Nabukalu, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner also emphasized to the beneficiaries to keep the animals well for prosperity.
