DPC has warned residents of Budaka District against staying in crowded places.This follows a number of bomb blasts causing tragedy to the entire country time and agin amidst COVID-19 and malaria increase in the district.While giving his briefs during the DTF meeting today,the DPC explained to members about Bukedi region as one of the recruitment centres for Allied Democratic Forces quoting Naboa where unknown vehicles keep carrying people.He called upon communities to be more vigilant and alert security incase of any dealings of such a kind."When you see a foreign person carrying bags and unstable making you feel insecure,please report him or evn call the police for sfaety,"DPC emphasised.He also tasked the parents to play their role of parenting children during such a difficuilt time quoting the murder case of a primary seven pupil aged 18years that occured in Naboa after the child had gone for a dance.The RDC then called upon communities to embrace the polio campaign soon to kick start for a healthy generation.He also asked the technical and political staff to continuously sensitise and disseminate the information to the LLG's as a way of popularising the project for service delivery.He also encouraged parents to be responsible and not leaving their children to engage in peer groups that endanger them.The surveillance Focal person then informed members about the ongoing vaccination process on COVID-19 targeting the teachers due for the second dose and those yet to receive their first dose.He also informed members about 01 active case on COVID-19 from Kamonkoli subcounty whom they were still tracing his whereabouts in Budaka T/C as a result of stigmatisation from the community.He concluded by congratulating the District for emerging the 5th best in the Standard Unit Output(SUO) of HCIV's country wide FY2020/21 following FY2019/20 where the district was ranked in the 27th position.
