Nansanga and Mugiti Seed schools site handover.

Mr.Pajje Emmanuel the District Chairperson has today handed over Nansanga Seed  and Mugiti Seed Schools sites to MKN pages company Limited.While making his remarks,the District Chairperson appreciated government for the support rendered in improving the education system in the district.He further warned individuals against attaching religious denominations to the schools but rather own them as communities.He also urged the contractor to use the available labour and local construction materials of standard quality from within the community inorder to enable the people benefit from the project.He further tasked the contractor to highly consider the children of the donars able and willing to support them as they start their work.Mr.Magunda George the RDC Budaka asked the communities to work together with the contractor for the success of the projects.He further the Headteacher of Nansanga Seed for the good work that she is good work that she was doing in ensuring good performance in the school as per the recent UCE results released.He assured the communities that the completion of the schools will prevent school going children from moving longer distances to learn.He also appreciated government for the tremendous work done in Budaka evidenced by the resources invested in a number of projects of the kind.According to Mr.Piwang Elly the Chief Administrative Officer,he informed members that the total contract sum for Nansanga Seed school is Ugx3.2B and Ugx2.9B for Mugiti Seed.“The schools are to be complete with both ‘O’  and ‘A’ level,science laboratories and administration blocks among other structures,”CAO said.He also informed members that the land donated for  Nansanga Seed was 4.9acres and 5.1acres for Mugiti Seed.Mr.Piwang added that the contract period for all the sites is 02 years.He thanked government for extending the education services closer to the people of Budaka.CAO advised the contractor to ensure that he addresses issues of environment and social safe guard while executing his work.The District Education Officer Mr.Higenyi Paul applauded the Headteacher Nansanga Seed for closely working together with the community in the acquisition of the land.The LCIII Chairperson Nansanga appreciated the land owner for the donation and called for team work during the construct works.On the other hand,the LCIII Chairperson Mugiti requested the district leadership to consider the teachers on ground when the school is complete.
