Site handover meeting for construction of a staff house at Budaka P/S

The District Chairperson has tasked the contractor to embrace the BUBU principle as he executes his construction works .In so doing,he directed the contractor to have atleast 80% of the labour force coming from within Budaka engaged in the casual works.While addressing the members during the site handover meeting for the construction of a staff house at Budaka P/S,he informed members about the decentralisation process that focuses at every parish having a primary school with a decent accommodation for teachers and a good working environment henceforth resulting into improved service delivery through education.He appreciated governmnet for the support renedered towards the education system in the district.He then asked the councillors to help the contractor get rightful people of intergrity to do the work and also told the Headteacher to facelift the school since its located in a strategic place viewed by everyone.He urged the contractor to do quality work as per the specifications in the Bill of Quantities.The project manger also informed the team that the contract awarded to M/S Shaban Brothers Ltd will cost a total sum of Ugandan Shillings 78,206,490  running from this month to April 2022.He told the contractor to utilise the funds inorder to come up with a standard structure.He looked forward to having another another similar event whereby the contractor willl be handing over a complete structure to the district.The Headteacher then asked the contractor to cooperate with the entire team for quality work.The area Councilor thanked the district for granting him a project in the shortest term of his service.
