Construction works of the maternity unit in progress amidst delays by Yongjin construction Inc.While giving their remraks during the third site meeting,the team from MOH expressed their gratitude to the contractor for the good work so far done  and tasked the Clerk of works to ensure quality in the work.They further urged the Chairperson Grievance Redress committee to document issues of concern and as well address them to the respective stakeholders for feedback.Other areas of emphasis by the members included; curing of the blocks by the contractor,contractor to avail rightful gloves to his workers,grievence Chairperson to always engage workers, the contractor to harmonise on the reporting time of his workers from 08:00am -04:00pm instead of 07:00am -06:00pm and the Chairperson grievance redress committee to monitor the project among others.The project that commenced on 1st May, 2021is expected to be complete by 21st August,2022 with a contract sum of UGX1,489,728,874.
