Office of the Prime Minister has today disseminated the Local Government Management of Service Delivery (LGMSD) performance Assessment results 2023 and the new Assessment guides, to the District Stakeholders in the District Boardroom.This follows the recent released 2023 results where Budaka District dropped in terms of performance from position 48 to 86.According to Mr. Patrick Muhindo, a Senior Economist in the Office of the Prime Minister, he informed members that the assessment exercise is aimed at incentive and promoting good practice in Administration, resource management, accountability and service delivery.He emphasized that the exercise should be taken seriously because the performance has impact on our resource envelope based evidenced in the current Financial Year in areas of water, education ,health and cross cutting issues among others.Mr. Muhindo then called for team work, conducting of joint political and technical review meetings and early preparation for the mock assessment exercise for good performance.The technical staffs promised to do better in the next assessment exercise despite the new LGSD assessment manuals that capture the aspect of infrastructures.Among stakeholders present during the meeting included; the District Chairperson, DEC members, RDC’s office, Heads of Departments, sector heads, SACAO’s and other technical staffs who are always involved in the assessment exercise.
