Budaka District receives 02 motorcycles form MAAIF

Deputy RDC Budaka hands over 02 motorcycles to the extension staffs intended to promote the oil seed growth in the District.While handing over the motorcycles to the beneficiaries, Ms .Betty Lutta Kalumba, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner appreciated Government for the support and urged the extension staffs to ensure that they serve all corners of the District for improved service delivery.According to the District Production Officer, Mr. Dambya Ambrose, he informed the members that 02 motorcycles were a donation from Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (MAAIF) under the National Oil Seed Project in order to promote the growth of oil seed crops like soya and groundnuts in the District.He also informed members that a total of 05 sub counties namely; Mugiti, Budaka, Kamonkoli, Kadimukoli and Nansanga are implementing the project in the District.He appreciated MAAIF for supporting the extension staffs with motorcycles for supervision purposes of the projects.Ms.Jane Akiror, the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer tasked the extension staffs to be careful and also properly utilize the motorcycles since they are Government property.She added that the motorcycles should be used to offer services to the different communities so as to increase on their presence on ground.Hon.Mbayo David, Secretary for Production also appreciated Government for the support rendered to Budaka and urged the beneficiaries to use the motorcycles for the purpose intended.
